Åžirince (pronounced she-rin-jay) is a delightful village in the hills near Ephesus, full of pretty historic houses facing a peaceful landscape of vineyards and olive groves. Set at 400 metres above sea level, the village enjoys cool evenings even on the hottest days of summer. Ephesus is a 15-minute drive away. The beach is just a little farther.
Müjde and Sevan Nisanyan are best known as the authors of the Little Hotel Book, the bible of small and characterful hotels in Turkey. They left the big city more than ten years ago to live in this idyllic village, reviving some of its historic houses as a small hotel that is hailed as one of Turkey's finest.
Nisanyan House offers four types of accommodation in separate units. Nisanyan Inn is an elegantly appointed small hotel of 5 rooms. Several village houses offer greater privacy and space. The five cottages of Ilyastepe are set in a beautiful Mediterranean farm on the edge of the village. Then there is Kilisealti Guesthouse, offering 7 modest but pleasant rooms for travelers on a limited budget.
Each unit combines style and comfort with the genuine atmosphere of a beautiful Aegean village. All basic comforts are provided for. Gourmet dining (see menu) is available for a maximum of six tables only.|
